(Associated with the company since 1993). Matthew Mohr received his BFA in dance from SUNY Purchase and performed with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company from 1994 until 2000. Mr. Mohr has assisted Mr. Witchel with Dance as Ever since its inception, but his first designs for the company were made in 1996 when he designed sets and costumes (along with David Quinn) for Word Become Flesh and Les Noces. Since that time, he has been the company's set and decor designer.
David Quinn, Costume Designer
Mr. Quinn has been designing since childhood, first studying costuming at the Interlochen Arts Academy. After graduation, he moved to New York City and studied fashion design at F.I.T. His costumes have been described by Jennifer Dunning in the New York Times as "stylish", by Brian McCormick of LGNY as "sexy" and in Ballet Review's "Check It Out" series as "never at a loss for fresh fantasy." His work has also appeared on the cover of Dance View Magazine. In addition to costuming he is continually working to expand the presence of his line of women's wear and photos from his 2002 Spring collection appeared in WWD (Women's Wear Daily. Jeffrey E. Salzberg, Lighting designer, production manager (Associated with the company since 1999) Jeffrey E. Salzberg has designed the lighting for theater, ballet, and modern dance troupes all over the United States. He has worked with the Houston, Chicago, and Washington Ballets among others, lighting such ballets as Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, and (of course) The Nutcracker. Recently, he designed lighting for contemporary plays including Margaret Edson's Wit and A. R. Gurney's Far East. Mr. Salzberg has also served as a design consultant for several theater facilities. He is the past president of the Houston Dance Coalition's Board of Trustees and has participated in the arts funding process as a grant writer, panelist, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Cultural Arts Council of Houston/Harris County.
